Free is , until today, a band I only heard about before, never really listened. I got a notification about this 50 year release day, and found the album on YouTube. I like enough to find it qualified to enter this list. Thank you Eric! Free was formed in 1968 and this is their third album, recorded from January to June 1970 at Trident and Island Studios in London.
Since I’m not familiar with the band or album, I won’t write so much about it. Feel Free* to add some information as a comment to this release. Listening the album now I have to say that I might have missed something during the years. I will have to listen other of their albums later. For now my favorite song is Mr. Big and I like the smooth change into Don’t Say You Love Me. Side 2 is absolutely the best in my opinion.
Paul Rodgers – vocals
Paul Kossoff – lead guitar, rhythm guitar
Andy Fraser – bass guitar, acoustic guitar, piano
Simon Kirke – drums, percussion
